27. Boulder Creek

2024 Status

There is a fine stand of eastside Douglas-fir old growth along lower Boulder Creek well worth a visit, but road and trail access is in a state of change. FR 4880 is closed due to the Boulder Fire (2023), and access off of FR 4870 is no longer feasible. In addition, The Forest Service is planning to build a new trail segment connecting the Crane Creek Trail (478) along lower Boulder Creek with the Hidden Meadows Trail (472) creating some new loop opportunities. With luck this work may be completed by autumn 2024. The map below is outdated (1993) and for historical purposes only.
