29. Jones Creek

The Jones Creek Trail (#3472) used to bisect several patches of magnificent old growth containing very large Douglas-fir. However, this area burned in the Clark Fire (2003) and again in the Jones Fire (2017), leaving lots of snag and young forest habitat. There appears to be almost no old growth remaining along the trail. The trail is not currently safe for use and is several years away from being cleared and restored.
